The Lady of the Lake
$315.00
The Lady of the Lake, also known by variations of Nimue or Vivienne, plays a central role in the legends of King Arthur. Although consensus around her character and role in the stories vary throughout time, she is known for gifting the sword Excalibur to Arthur. Here I have depicted her in the act of offering the sword, thrusting it out of a rippling lake.
The sword blade is made from a clear iridescent glass, the hilt is made from handpainted amber glass, her hand is made from a murky olive green glass, and the lake is pieced from various shades of blues and greens. The panel hangs from a wire shaped star at the tip of the sword.
This hanging is one of a kind and ready to ship.
