My second insect in stained glass! Oris shared this illustration during her takeover of @thepigeonletters on Instagram. I was already at work on the "Freedom" moth and knew I needed to make this one as well! I used glass paint to mimic the black details on the wings, body and head. Once heated the finish is like enamel. The moth is handmade using yellow glass, teal glass and white stained glass. Two copper wire antennae rise from its head, which can be delicately adjusted. A discreet copper loop is affixed for hanging and display.
Handmade by ABJ Glassworks in Philadelphia using stained glass, silver-alloy solder and eco-friendly techniques.
