A stained glass dragon, handpainted in gold and fired to an enamel finish. Inspired by the tales of dragons in folklore and mythology, this dragon was cut from a deep teal green glass and detailed in gold. Two copper horns extend from its head. Beliefs about dragons vary considerably through regions, but dragons in western cultures since the High Middle Ages have often been depicted as winged, horned, and capable of breathing fire. Draconic creatures appear in virtually all cultures around the world.
Two discreet copper loops are attached to the top of the wings and then connected by a copper chain for hanging.
