My first insect in stained glass! You can see the original illustration by Oris, which she posted on her Instagram feed @breatheliveexplore on Juneteenth 2020, with "freedom" underneath the yellow and green moth. I have recreated the pattern on the moth wings, highlighting it with copper. The moth is handmade using yellow glass, a mottled teal glass and black stained glass. Two copper wire antennae rise from its head, which can be delicately adjusted. A discreet copper loop is affixed for hanging and display.
