When envisioning these pieces I thought of large billowing fields of poppies. I wanted to capture the poppy in all stages of its life, from bud, to flower, to distinctive seed pod with its black cap. I also wanted to capture the movement of the poppy in the field as it follows the sun and billows in the breeze, arriving at the different blossom shapes that you can see in this piece. This "field" has three blossoms as well as two bud, and an undulating pieces of green glass to represent the field itself.
