A moon phase garland to commemorate the 2020 Winter Solstice. Instead of a full moon at the center there is a sun setting on the longest night of the year. This ornament is painted and fired to an enamel finish. The sun is made from clear glass and detailed entirely in yellow and orange. The surrounding moon phases are made from opaque black glass. Two rings are attached at either end to hang it.
Height of individual phases: 2"
Handmade by ABJ Glassworks in Philadelphia using stained glass, silver-alloy solder and eco-friendly techniques.
